ELEVATOR BRAKING FORCE MEASURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compute both the braking force of a brake and the moment of inertia of an elevator required for the aforesaid operation only by releasing the brake of the elevator for the specified period of time, and thereby make a judgement on the braking force of the brake. SOLUTION: The brake 3 of an elevator is released for the specified period of time, speed data detected by speed detecting means 11 and 12 is communicated to a personal computer 16 by way of the microcomputer 17 of a data processing part 15, both the moment of inertial of the elevator and the braking force of a brake are computed by an operating part 19, and its braking force is thereby judged. By this constitution, both the efficiency of maintenance works and the safety of an elevator cage at the time of braking can thereby be enhanced.
