Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occupant constraint device of an assistant seat safety system from undesirable actuation when the seat is removed. SOLUTION: A safety device comprises a seat use sensor 8 for sensing the use of a seat by an occupant, and an opening control unit 3 for determining the seat use state at the time of setting an operation signal for defining an operation range of a constraint device. Using the state signal, the operation control unit 3 detects actual presence or absence of the seat, and simultaneously a different failure state, and sets operation signal 3.4 issued in the case of a dangerous accident accordingly under logic connection with another state 3.2 displaying signal transmission matching to a rule at a signal separation point 6.
