DATA RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize continuous access to plural tracks in separate positions from one another in a rotary type storage device without generating a rotational delay. SOLUTION: This data recording method is capable of continuous access to plural tracks in separate positions from one another without generating any rotational delay in the rotary type storage device by arranging a gap G in desired size on the side of a finishing end of each individual track 8 to be recorded with a record R in a way of increasing pit recording density in the whole track 8 by, for instance, about 0.6% without detriment to a nominal storage capacity of the track 8 and covering a required time for a track changeover with a passing time of a head over this gap G.
