Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helical floater type through-plate direction changing device which can increase production efficiency by suppressing meandering of a belt-shaped material after a through-plate direction is changed. SOLUTION: In an inlet/outlet side of a floater 1, a center position control device 3, 4 is arranged. In a surface of the floater 1, many jet nozzles capable of jetting compressed air for float supporting a steel belt 2 are provided. Each center position control device 3, 4 comprises a steering roller 7, 11 winding the steel belt 2 to be made capable of swiveling in a vertical direction, actuator 8, 12 driving this steering roller 7, 11, position detector 10, 14 detecting a position of the steel belt 2 and a controller 9, 13 controlling a position of the steering roller 7, 11 through the actuator 8, 12.
