Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize liquid crystals and to shorten the time for washing a liquid crystal panel by preventing the adhesion of the liquid crystals to the outer side of sealing materials. SOLUTION: Release layers 15 previously formed on the rear surface of a large-sized glass substrate 12 are positioned on both sides of the outside surfaces 13a in the right and left straight parts of the sealing materials 13 as a reference in the state that both large-sized glass substrates 11, 12 are held stuck to each other via the sealing materials 13. The upper large-sized glass substrate 12 and the release layers 15 are cut in the parts shown by arrows in (B), by which the unnecessary upper glass substrate 12B is peeled together with the release layers 15 existing thereunder from the sealing materials 13 and is removed. Consequently, the right and left ends of the upper glass substrate 12A and the lower large-sized glass substrate 11 on the outer side of the outside surfaces 13a in the right and left straight parts of the sealing materials 13 are prevented from facing each other. Then, even if the injection of liquid crystals is executed in this state, the adhesion of the liquid crystals to the lower large-sized glass substrate 11 on the outer side of the outside surfaces 13a in the right and left straight parts of the sealing materials 13 is prevented by capillarity.
