PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent boiling-out and to improve rice cooking performance by performing temperature elevation heating corresponding to a rice cooking amount. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a heating means 2 for heating a pot 1 for putting a rice cooking object in, a first temperature detection means 3 for detecting the boiling state of the rice cooking object, a second temperature detection means 4 for detecting the temperature of the pot 1 and a control means 5 for controlling the boiling maintaining power of the heating means 2. Then, the rice cooking amount is detected correspondingly to the time until the first detection temperature of the first temperature detection means 3 is detected, and whether or not to execute a process for maintaining the boiling maintaining power until the second detection temperature of the first temperature detection means 3 is decided corresponding to the rice cooking amount.
