Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device having a structure which prevents developer and noise from leaking out of the developing device. SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a developer carrier for holding developer which is supplied to a latent-image carrier, and a carrying member 2 which carries the developer in the direction of its axis from its axial one end receiving the developer to the other end by rotating a rotary shaft which is parallel with the developer carrier. A bearing part 1F for supporting the rotary shaft situated upstream in the carrying direction is provided on the inside of the external wall 4A of a main body case 4, therefore the rotary shaft situated upstream in the carrying direction is not exposed from the external wall 4A of the main body case 4.
