Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of an excessive stress at a joint between a secondary barrier and an anchor during breakage of an inner tank. SOLUTION: In a low temperature storage tank wherein an inner tank 1 arranged in an outer tank 2 through a bottom cold insulator 3, a secondary barrier 4 made of a metal on the under surface of the bottom cold insulator 3, and a cold heat resistance relaxation material 5 is held at the foundation of the outer tank through a fixing anchor 7, an expansion and contraction pipe 11 having an upper end fixed at the secondary barrier 4 and an lower end fixed at the foundation of the outer tank 2 is arranged at the periphery of the anchor 7 positioned at the lower part of the secondary barrier 4.
