DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING MOLTEN METAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of molten metal and the clogging in an equipment caused by contacting with the air and to enable the stable operation for long time in a low cost, at the time of supplying the molten metal in a holding furnace into a prescribed position. SOLUTION: In a device for supplying the molten metal 40 in the holding furnace 10 into the prescribed position, a closed type first fixed quantity vessel 12 capable of taking out the molten metal 40 in the holding furnace 10 from this inner position, a closed type second fixed quantity vessel 20 communicated with the prescribed position so as to be possible to supply the molten metal 40, a communicating passage 18 communicated with these vessels so as to feed the molten metal in the first fixed quantity vessel 12 into the second fixed quantity vessel 20, cylinders 14, 22 individually arranged so as to be possible to vary each inner pressure to both fixed quantity vessels 12, 20 and a bypass way 26 mutually communicated with the inner parts of these cylinders 14, 22, are provided. Then, both cylinders 14, 22 can individually be closed to the communication with the bypass way 26 with each position of plungers 16, 24 therein.
