OPTICAL RECORDING METHOD FOR OPTICAL RECORD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain a constant result irrespective of a history of a test area in a recording method for an optical record in a process of performing trial write in a test area before recording user information and setting the intensity of laser light as a result of this trial at the time of recording the user information. SOLUTION: By interrupting a recording signal from a recording signal generator 6 by a switch 5 prior to a trial write, information recorded in the test area is erased beforehand, or information is recorded in the test area beforehand with the intensity of laser light larger than the intensity of the laser light for the traial write and also in a constant relationship with the intensity of the laser light for the trial write by a peak value setting circuit 7 and a bottom value setting circuit 8, thus obtaining always a constant result irrespective of a history of the test area.
