DEVICE FOR PREVENTING ELEVATOR WORKING LAMP AND PIT LAMP FROM BEING LEFT ON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent forgetting to turn off a working lamp or a bit lamp for use in the maintenance and inspection of an elevator hoistway. SOLUTION: When inspection lamp switches 12B, 12C are turned on, a working lamp and a pit lamp are turned on and electricity is fed to an electromagnetic coil 15. A stopper pin 14 is thereby attracted by the electromagnetic coil 15 against the energizing force of a pulling spring 16 and projected from a switchboard 13. Therefore, the stopper pin 14 is made to abut to a locking part 10C, and a cover lid 10 can no longer slide upward from a fully open position. Thus even if operating personnel has forgot to turn off the working lamp in a hoistway, the cover lid 10 cannot be closed and therefore the operating personnel easily notices that he has forgot to turn off the working lamp or the like and can turning them off.
