PAVING MEMBER AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide favourable anticorrosion and to constantly keep outer appearance of a paving member of a park, etc., favourable by heat treating the metallic paving member molded of cast iron at specified temperature and forming a surface treated film of black rust which is oxide on a surface. SOLUTION: An artificial ground 2 is formed on a floor slab 1. Paving members 3 made of vertical bars 3b connecting cross bars 3a are respectively arranged in parallel and spread all over in a walking area on the artificial ground 2. The paving member 3 is integrally molded by casting, heat treated by heating it at about 900 deg.C in a furnace of an atmosphere of about 950 deg.C and made to produce a treated film called black rust on its surface. The paving member 3 can be also used by fitting it in a sideditch and a attachment port exposed on a road surface or an opening part of a manhole. Consequently, it is possible to improve anticorrosion of the paving members 3, and to eliminate coating processing. Accordingly, it is possible to match a laid paved surface with a view of the circumference and to provide attractive outer appearance.
