Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method for shortening smelting time and enabling the increase of the producing quantity, at the time of producing a chromium-containing molten iron by executing a smelting reduction of a chromium oxide raw material. SOLUTION: This producing method is composed of a smelting reduction period, in which the chromium oxide raw material, carbonaceous material and slag-making material are charged into a combination blown smelting furnace 1 and also, the smelting reduction of the chromium oxide raw material is executed by top-blowing gaseous oxygen, and a finish reduction period, in which the carbonaceous material is charged while holding the top-blown oxygen flow rate in the smelting reduction period, and also, a metal as the chromium source, a metal as a nickel source and one or more kinds among oxides as the nickel source are charged and melted.
