SPIN-UP METHOD FOR OPTICAL DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce spin-up processing time of a DRAW type optical disk in an optical disk device used in an information processing system. SOLUTION: The procedure of spin-up processing in an optical disk device is performed continuously in the recorded order of the collection operation of TOC information in the read-in area of each section and the collection operation of track information of a track selectively recorded by a fixed recording method. In this case, after the collection is performed of the TOC information in the read-in area of the initial session, the plural tracks in the same session are successively repeatedly processed (step 5 to 10). If the track during the processing is discriminated as the last track, the similar steps are repeated. With the collection no longer possible of the TOC information, the spin-up processing is completed.
