Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an org. nonlinear optical material and org. conductive material having excellent nonlinear optical characteristics and electrical conduction characteristics. SOLUTION: The thin film of an org. compd. which has vinylene groups in its molecular structure and in which at least one of these vinylene groups are cis substances and which has nonlinear optical characteristics, is formed by vacuum vapor deposition. This thin film is photoirradiated to convert all the vinylene groups existing in this org. compd. to trans substances by photoisomerization reaction. As a result, the nonlinear org. material is provided with a plane structure and the π conjugation length is made longer. An electron withdrawing compd. is deposited by evaporation and is dispersed into the thin film described above at the time of vacuum vapor deposition, by which the org. conductive material is obtd. Since these materials have the long π conjugation length, the materials have the excellent nonlinear optical characteristics and electrical conduction characteristics. |
