Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lactate polyester composition which is excellent in moldability, heat stability and storage stability, can be biodegraded after use, generates a small quantity of heat and no noxious gases when burnt, and is useful for packaging materials by mixing a specified lactate polyester with a plasticizer. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by mixing a lactate polyester (A) subjected to treatment of deactivating the polymerization catalyst with a plasticizer (B) in a weight ratio of 99/1 to 40/60. A preferable example of the composition is one obtained by using a chelating agent and/or an acid phosphoric ester to deactivate the polymerization catalyst for this polyester. Component B is desirably a polyester plasticizer comprising repeating units each of which is derived from a dibasic acid and a dihydric alcohol and having a number-average molecular weight of 500-20,000, more desirable a plasticizer terminated with a monobasic acid and/or a monohydric alcohol.
