DATA MANAGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data managing system with which a user is enabled to easily add/change the kinds of items consisting of records without customizing any program. SOLUTION: An input picture for inputting the items of records is provided with not only the input fields of fixed item names but also free input fields 101, 103, 201 and 203 for the user to freely set item names. The free input fields 101 and 201 for numerical inputs are set with the free input fields 103 and 203 for character inputs. The item names set to the free input fields 101, 103, 201 and 203 by the user are registered in a user item name table on a storage device inside the system. When opening the input picture, any input user item name is read from the user item name table and displayed at the side of correspondent free input field on the input picture. The data of various items inputted on the input picture are registered in the storage device as records. With the user set item as a retrieval key, the retrieval of record is enabled as well.
