Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a compact and thin configuration of a disc device. SOLUTION: In this device, a pickup 12 for recording and regeneration is provided, and the device is constituted so as to perform recording and regeneration for the disc contained in a cartridge 2. In this case, the moving direction of the pickup 12 is made to be inclined with respect to the central direction of the above described disc of an opening 10 of the cartridge 2.
