Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new promoter for a nuclear receptor gene related to the differentiation of cerebral nerve cells, having a specific base sequence, containing a chromosomal DNA on the upstream side from the transcription- starting point of human NOR-1, and useful for treating and diagnosing diseases related to muscular tissues, etc. SOLUTION: This new promoter contains a gene expressed by base numbers 1611-1703 in a base sequence of the formula. The promoter contains a chromosomal DNA at the upstream of at least 93bp from the transcription-starting point of a nuclear receptor gene human NOR-1 related to the differentiation of cerebral nerve cells, and is useful for the researches of the functions of the NOR-1 gene, the treatments of hereditary diseases caused by the mutation of the NOR-1 gene, the researches, diagnoses and treatments of cerebral nerve diseases and diseases related to muscular tissues, the preparation of the animal modes of the diseases, etc. The promoter is obtained by screening a chromosome library originated from a human placenta with a probe prepared by amplifying the fragment of the human NOR-1 gene by a PCR method and subsequently labeling the product. |
