COVER LIFT-UP TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover lift-up tool which can simply open a cover through leverage, and which can be small-sized, and lightweight while the handling ability thereof can be enhanced, by positioning a base along an inner edge or the like of an opening, and by locking a hook attached to the other end of a coupling member to an opening handle or the like of the cover, and by rotating a handle attached to the base. SOLUTION: A base 18 is suspended down from the front edge of a planar body, and formed therein with a pawl 26, and the lower end part of a rivet for fixing an antislip rubber base to the lower surface of the body, serves as a positioning spike. Further, a grip 36 is attached to the upper end part of the upper rod 34 of the handle 22, the lower end part of a lower rod 32 is rotatably attached to a hinge 20 by means of a pin 38, and the upper end part thereof is attached thereto with one end of a wire 42 serving as a connecting member, by means of a connector 40. Further, the base 18 is positioned at the inner edge of an opening 14 or in the vicinity thereof, and a hook 56 attached to the other end of the wire 42 is locked to an opening handle or the like provided to a cover for an opening of a manhole. A part of the cover is lifted up by rotating a handle 22.
