PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep the function of protection by being composed of, at least, one optical axis among plural numbers of optical axes arranged in the longitudinal direction of a die on a working table so as to move the non- intercepting position corresponding to the shape of a work. SOLUTION: A worker inputs a required information data of a die or a work with an inputting means at first in advance of beginning to process the work, however, in this step, for example, the data of flange shape/dimension, etc., of the work at each working stage is inputted. Or, the work flange shape/ dimension, etc., on each bending stage is obtained automatically with an NC device based on the information of article of an exploded view/elevation view, etc., of the work article. The movement is executed so as to avoid the flange part so that each optical axis of each projector 1, 2 of the light beam type protection device before working is not intercepted with the work flange at the same time. In this moving method, at least, one of two parallel optical axes L1 , L2 is enough moved to the position without being intercepted.
