Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device, which does not require a large space between a car and a balance weight even in the case where the balance weight is arranged at any position in relation to the car. SOLUTION: In an elevator device, in which a car 3 having a square cross section is elevated along guide rails 5A-5C laid in a hoist way 1, at least three guide rails 5A-5C are arranged, and while at least two of them is arranged close to two corners adjacent to the car 3, and a balance weight 7 is arranged between the two guide rails, which are arranged close to the corner parts, and the other guide rail.
