SHAKING OUT FISHING ROD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a shaking out fishing rod with an extendable tip by facilitating its handling and manipulation. SOLUTION: This fishing rod includes a hollow prime rod 2, a plurality of extendable middle rods 3a, 3, successively and telescopically housed inside the prime rod 2 and a tip 4 housed inside the innermost middle rod 3a. The respective ends of a first and a second manipulation lines 6a, 6b that are threaded through the middle rod 3a for extending/retracting the tip 4 are fixed to the base end of the tip. A tubular member 5 mounted with a reel 7 for extending/retracting the tip 4 is detachably formed at the base end of the prime rod 2. It is so adapted that depending on the direction of rotation of the reel 7, either one of the first or the second manipulation line 6a, 6b is pulled. The length of the tip rod 4 is such that when the tubular member 5 is detached while the tip 4 and the middle rods 3a, 3 are retracted and housed inside the prime rod 2, the base end of the where the manipulation lines are fixed becomes exposed near the opening of the prime rod 2 at its base end.
