CAMERA BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause the deviation of the direction and the inclination of a camera at the time of fixing the pedestal of the camera at a camera base main body and to facilitate the cleaning, maintenance and inspection of the inside of the camera base main body. SOLUTION: As for the camera base constituted of the camera base main body 10, the pedestal 20 provided so as to be freely attached to/detached from the main body 10 and a tightening mechanism 40 to tighten and fix the pedestal 20 to the camera base main body 10; the camera base main body 10 is constituted of a pair of base members 11 respectively having opposed surfaces, and the base members 11 are pivotally supported by a pivotally supporting part provided at one end of the opposed surfaces so as to freely open and close, and a nearly cylindrical housing part whose upper part is opened and where the pedestal 20 is attached is provided at the nearly center part of the camera base main body 10, and the pedestal 20 is attachably/detachably attached at the housing part. The tightening mechanism 40 is constituted of a tightening part 41 and an operating tool 42, and the base members 11 are relatively attached and detached by the operating tool 42, so that the pedestal 20 is tightened and fixed at the inside of the housing part.
