Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blower which can restrain the flow rate of an inflow gas from increasing and decreasing so as to prevent flow separation of the gas so as to restrain a loss. SOLUTION: A blower incorporate an impeller 2, a casing 3 and a flow guide 12. The impeller composed of a base 4 having a disc-like shape, blades 5 provided to the base 4, and a cover member 6. A first opening 7 is formed in a substantially center part of the cover member 6. The casing 3 has a box- like shape and has a second opening 11 which is connected to the first opening 7 through a flow guide 12. An inlet box 13 has a box-like shape, having a gas intake port 14, and communicates the gas intake port 14 with the second opening 11. An arcuate protrusion 15 which is convex toward the gas passage in a section including the gas intake port 14 and a rotary shaft is provided between the gas intake port 14 and the second opening 11.
