Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable as feeding apparatus to feed a glass raw material in a large width in a floating island-like state on a molten glass by an extremely simple structure by protrusively installing the face part inclined frontword and laterally toward the interior of a furnace at a glass material charge inlet for glass melting furnaces so that the glass raw material extruded from a screw type extruder is successively deposited onto the surface and the glass raw material is divided and allowing the divided glass raw materials to slide down into the furnace. SOLUTION: A glass raw material 12 charged from a hopper 11 is advanced through the interior of a feeder 3 toward a glass raw material inlet 6 by a screw 4 rotated by a motor 5 and extruded by the face part 2 and deposited and slightly moved on inclined surface of the face part 2 as the bulkiness increases and crack is produced between glass raw material 12 extruded from the rear and divided and dropped onto a molten glass 13 as a mass and advanced through the interior of glass melting furnace 7 toward a taken out port of glass while floating on a molten glass 13. Then, sliding down of the glass raw material 12 is carried out at an interval of time again and the dropped mass is advanced and widely distributed.
