Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove carbon adhered to the inside wall of a riser in a state of closing a top cover of the riser. SOLUTION: This method for removing adhered carbon in the riser of a coke over comprises blowing an oxygen-containing gas into the inside of the riser in a state of closing a top cover after pushing coke out of the carbonization chamber of the coke oven, removing volatile components in adhered carbon adhered to the inside of the riser by burning, and then, blowing steam to remove adhered carbon.
