Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA sequence comprising a specific DNA sequence encoding a polypeptide having vascular endothelial cell growth factor activities, promoting vasoplasty and vascular endothelioplasty, and used for production of a polypeptide useful as an agent, etc., for treating wounds. SOLUTION: This DNA sequence is an isolated new DNA sequence encoding a polypeptide having a sequence of 120 amino acids of the formula, or its homologous sequence of human origin, and having vascular endothelial cell growth factor activities and is useful for production of an agent, etc., for treating wounds having activities for promoting division of a vasoendothelial cell, and further promoting vasoplasty (angiogenesis) and endothelioplasty of the intravascular surface. The DNA sequence is obtained by screening a human pulmonal fibroblast genome library by using a partial gene of the vasoendothelial cell growth factor obtained by extracting poly(A) RNA from a bovine folliculo-stellate cell, preparing a cDNA library by using the gene and screening the cDNA library, as a probe.
