PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent detergent from flowing backward to a fan side, to supply the detergent to an evaporator side positively, and to wash an air conditioner safely and effectively by connecting a washing means and a rinsing means to a cooled air blast path to a fan motor and by controlling the rotation of the fan during washing operation. SOLUTION: A blast path PT is opened in a housing HG part from a fan FN to an evaporator EV, and the cooled air of a fan motor MT flows due to the drive of the fan FN. A washing device 1 connects a liquid-supply hose 2 to the blast path PT by a connection tool 4, and has a washing tank 8 and a rinsing tank 9 via the liquid-supply hose 2 and liquid-feed pipes 6 and 7. In response to the input of an operation part 24, a controller 23 controls solenoid valves 10 and 11, a suction fan 14, the fan rotator and motors 21 and 22 for starting washing, collection, rinse, and drying, thus eliminating the need for opening a hole in a housing HG, supplying detergent to the evaporator EV side positively, and achieving safe and effective washing and highly efficient drying.
