Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To announce what kind of abnormality occurs to the central monitoring device side by a method wherein abnormality of a positioner itself and a regulation valve is diagnosed without increasing the load of a host control device and increasing a system cost. SOLUTION: A controller 5B is provided with a diagnosing function to diagnose a plurality of diagnosis items regarding the states of a regulation valve 3 and a positioner itself in addition to a function to generate a drive control signal to an electropneumatic converting part 5C. For example, a controller 5B diagnoses the actual opening X of the regulation valve 3 and whether hunting occurs based on a set opening R from a host control device and the actual opening X from the regulation valve 3. When it is decided that hunting occurs, diagnostic information A to indicate a diagnostic item and a diagnostic content is fed to a central monitoring device through the host control device.
