TRAFFIC INFORMATION DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display pattern information, a traffic jam state, or one's own vehicle position so as to be easy to see by displaying the traffic information by image data when a traffic information receiving means receives the traffic information by image data, and displaying the present position by characters or a present position mark on a map by a present position detecting means. SOLUTION: The traffic information received by a traffic information receiving means 101 is displayed on the screen of a display means 106 by an image converting means 104. It is judged whether the kind of the received information is character, pattern, link information, or multiple, and it is also judged whether plural kinds of information are displayed in combination or not. In the case of combination display, the combination is selectively inputted by an operating input means 107. The kind of information is selectively inputted by use of a touch switch from the selection menu on the screen. When the one kind of traffic information is received, the received information is displayed on the screen of the display means 106, and when plural kinds of information are received, only the one selectively inputted kind of information is displayed thereon.
