Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service life of a movable handrail. SOLUTION: In a movable handrail 4 for a passenger conveyor in which several canvas layers are adhered and fixed to the back side of a decorative rubber, and the section is of C-shape, when a part of the canvases is peeled from other canvases, the movable handrail 4 is turned over so that a canvas peeled part 9 is on the upper side, and the adhesive to be melted at the prescribed temperature is poured into the canvas peeled part 9 in the molten condition, and the surface of the canvas of the canvas peeled part 9 is pressure bonded while heated at the temperature over the melting temperature of the adhesive. The troublesome repairing work such as the oven-curing associated with peeling of the canvas can be reduced.
