SOLUTION: In a battery element of the type that positive.negative terminals 54, 55 are brought into contact with positive.negative pole plates 51, 52 which are put in a case with an electrolytic solution, non-applied portions 51c, 52c to which active materials 51b, 52b are not applied are provided at most of one edge of the positive.negative pole plates 51, 52, then the positive.negative terminals 54, 55 are pressed against these non-applied portions 51c, 52c.
