RESONANT SOUND SIGNAL FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a resonant sound closer to a natural musical instrument by providing a control means for generating a resonant sound signal with an amplitude smaller than a prescribed level and larger than a specified value in a resonant sound generating means when the maintenance of the resonant sound signal is not designated by a resonant sound holding operator. SOLUTION: A resonant level control means 7 generates a resonant sound control coefficient for giving the strength of a musical signal inputted to the respective resonant sound forming channels (20-1)-(20-m) depending upon the ON/OFF state of a sustain pedal and the depressing/releasing keys of a keyboard. For example, when the sustain pedal is turned on, all resonant sound control coefficients of the resonant sound forming channels (20-1)-(20-m) are set as 1 and the resonant sounds of strings corresponding to all keys are generated. By setting other resonant sound control coefficients zero, only the resonant sound of string corresponding to the depressed key is generated.
