Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly coat the surface of a continuously running support in a non-contact fashion by setting an interval between slits below a specific value and setting a gap between the support and an extrusion die within a specified range and setting the discharge rate of an organic solvent from the slits above a specified value. SOLUTION: A die to be used is 160 mm wide and is of stainless steel, and the coating width is set to be 100 mm. In addition, an organic solvent to be used is methylethylketone, and a support is of polyethyleneterephthalate for a 125 mm - wide and 10 μm - thick magnetic tape. When a gap between the support and the die is 0.2 mm, both are brought into contact with each other and when the gap is 3 mm, both are apt to be easily influenced by an air film. Further, when the interval between slits is 100 mm, a coat formed by discharging a solvent is lacking in resilience so that it is easily susceptible of the influence of the air film. It is possible to perform the rapid coating of the organic solvent even at a discharge rate of 800 m/minute by setting the slit interval at 50 μm or less and the distance between the support and the die at 0.5-2 mm as coating conditions. |
