IMAGE-PICKUP DEVICE AND REMOTE CONTROLLER FOR IMAGE-PICKUP DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a new adjustment function, even when an image-pickup device having the new adjustment function is connected to an old system by transmitting information on adjustment items adjustable by remote control to the remote controller. SOLUTION: A camera main body 5A and a remote control panel(RCP) 4A are connected to a camera system 2A. At application of power, a television camera 6A acquires an initial value of an existing adjustment item in the RCP 4A with initial communication with the RCP 4A. For example, in the case that the RCP 4A is a model of a series older than that of the camera 6A, names of function for new adjustment items newly added to the series of the camera 6A are informed to the RCP 4A. Then a control category and menu display data of each informed function are transferred. Then data of initial values of each adjustment item are transferred to the RCP 4A.
