CONNECTING JIG FOR ACETYLENE GAS CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount and remove a connecting jig easily and quickly, by forming a pressing object which is axial-slidably fitted into a tubular container, so that it is pressed toward a connecting mouthpiece by rotation of a cam which is operated with an operating lever which is mounted rotatably at the rear end of the tubular container. SOLUTION: When a connecting mouthpiece 8 such as a linking tube is connected to a valve 2 packed into-an acetylene gas container 1, first, under the condition that an operating lever 37 is kept in the position showed by a virtual line, an opening end 8a in the connecting mouthpiece 8 is fitted into a packing opening 3 in the valve 2, then, the operating lever 37 is rotated in the direction of the arrow A to the operating position showed by a solid line. Then, a pressing object 24 is pushed toward the connecting mouthpiece 8 by a cam 35, a pressed-contact part 28 in the tip of a movable pin 27 is pressed against a pressure receiving part 5 in the valve 2, and the valve 2 is pressed against the connecting mouthpiece 8. By keeping the opening end 8a in this connecting mouthpiece 8 contacting with a seal packing 4 which is fitted around the periphery of a packing opening 3, the connecting opening 8 is connected to the packing opening 3.
