DROP BOLT LOCK FOR GATE OR DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make installation and removal work easier by providing a sufficient rigidity without making a linking plate body thicker. SOLUTION: The main body of a drop bolt lock to be attached to a side surface of a gate or door comprises a long linking plate body 9 equipped with an irregular portion 13 at the rear side, a drop rod 10 to be linked to or released from a lock receiver arranged along the rear side of the linking plate body 9a linking member 11 provided at the upper end of the drop rod 10 which can be linker to a proper position of the irregular portion 13 of the linking plate body 9, and the main body of the drop bolt lock is housed inside a case body 5. And end edge at both the sides of the linking plate body 9 is inserted and kept in a groove formed in a longitudinal direction at the inner side of the case body 5, and up and down movement of the linking plate body 9 is restricted and fixed by a cap attached to the upper and lower ends of the case body 5.
