Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film, useful for photographic materials which show virtually no discoloration while being preserved, by including a compound effective for controlling development of UV-fluorescence in polyalkylene naphthalate. SOLUTION: This film is made from (A) a polyalkylene naphthalate or its derivative, and contains (B) an UV-absorber shown by formula I (R and R are each H, a halogen, mercapto, alkyl or the like independently; R is H, a hydroxy, halogen or the like; R is an alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or the like; (m) and (n) are each 1, 2, 3 or 4 independently). The component A is used as the base, and is preferably a homopolymer (PEN) of 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol (100/100). The base is preferably 40 to 500 μm thick. The component B is preferably of a compound shown by the formula II. It is preferable to use the component B at 0.1 to 1.0 wt.% based on the component A.
