HAIR COSMETIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic excellent in coloring ability, good in a hair-dressing property, usability and a stable touch, extremely little in secondary adhesion, and capable of being rapidly washed out on hair washing by including a specific cationic thickening agent, a direct dye and various kinds of setting resins. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains (A) a cationic thickening agent (0.1-10.0 wt.%) produced by copolymerizing a thickener monomer composition comprising (1) an amine-containing (meth)acrylic monomer of formula I (R is H, methyl; R , R are each H, ethyl, etc.; A is O, etc.; B is an alkylene), (2) a (meth)acryloyl group-containing monomer of formula II (R is an alkylene, etc.; R is H, methyl) and (3) a crosslinkable vinylic monomer, (B) a hair-setting resin (0.5-40.0 wt.%) and (C) a direct dye (0.005-1.0 wt.%). The direct dye is preferably an acidic dye. The hair-setting resin is preferably an amphoteric setting resin, a cationic setting resin, a nonionic setting resin or an anionic setting resin.
