CAR WASHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove dirt without using any brush in washing by moving a jet nozzle several times upward and downward on both end faces, which are detected by means of a traveling position detecting means and a vehicle shape detector, of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The part from a position, in which a photoelectric switch detects a vehicle body for the first time, to a position, in which the photoelectric switch transmits/shuts off light for the first time, is determined as a vehicle body front end face, while a part from a position, in which both photoelectric switches does not detect the vehicle body, to the limit position in the lower end is determined as a vehicle body rear end face, and in these positions, a motor 25 for an upper face washing unit 17 is moved upward/downward several times via an inverter. At the same time, the upper face washing unit 17 is reciprocated by means of air cylinders 33, 34 so as to perform jetting toward the vehicle body. In addition, washing is carried out while a jet nozzle 18 in the unit 17 is reciprocated in the lateral direction by means of the motor 30.
