ALKALINE DRY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of discharge performance of an alkaline dry battery without causing short-circuit even when strong shock and vibration is applied to the battery. SOLUTION: This dry battery has a cylindrical positive electrode mixture 8 filled in a positive electrode can 5, a cup separator 9 inserted therein and negative electrode gel zinc 7 filled in the cup separator. In this case, a resin swollen by electrolyte is placed on the positive electrode mixture at the opening of the positive electrode can 5 and on the gel zinc in the cup separator to prevent the movement of the negative electrode gel zinc 7 and the resin is swollen by the electrolyte to increase the quantity of the electrolyte in the battery for improving discharge performance.
