Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature rises at the coolest point of a circular fluorescent lamp by locating the coolest point of the fluorescent lamp near a connection, and locating the same at the lower end of the fluorescent lamp when the lamp is mounted on a luminaire body. SOLUTION: A luminaire body 2 has a lamp socket 10 for connection to lamp pins 7, 8, and a fluorescent lamp 1 is placed so that the first and second electrodes 3, 5 of the lamp 1 and a connection 11 are located at a lower end along the vertical direction. The body 2 is mounted on a wall surface 13 and the lamp 1 is held in a vertical position parallel to the body 2 with a globe 14 mounted to cover the lamp 1. Heat produced from the lamp 1 and a ballast 16 migrates upwards and not toward a base part 9. Therefore, the temperature of the coolest point part of the lamp at the connection 11 can be made lower than it will be if the base part 9 is provided at another position, with the result that the highest output can be obtained. |
