Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure U-shaped seal without requiring a large-sized drain pipe in economically advantageous U-seal piping, and prevent cutting of U-shaped seal at the time of starting a plant or at abrupt pressure fluctuation in a cooler. SOLUTION: A steam cooling cooler 11 arranged on a steam turbine plant is connected to a condenser 16 for condensing exhaust of the seam turbine, having inner pressure lower than that of the cooler 11 by means of a U-shaped drain pipe 15 having a tubular portion lower than the water level inside the condenser 16. Drain is supplied to the condenser 16 through the drain pipe 15. A steam separation device 18 is arranged on the way of the drain pipe 15, while gas is discharged outside the drain pipe 15.
