PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the positional variations of a lock pin, and simultaneously to regulate a lock release operation on a locking lever surely in case of operating a regulating member. SOLUTION: A regulating member R installed in the lower part of a lower rail checks any escape of a lock pin 21 from the inside of a notch 121, regulating the rotation of an upper rail. This regulating member R consists of a base 4 to be locked to the lower ratio 1, a rotary shaft 5, and a regulating lever 3 supported by this rotary shaft 5. In addition, one end of an inner cable 61 operating the rotation is connected to this regulating lever 3, and likewise one end of an outer cable 62 is locked to the base 4. A mounting hole 122 inserting an upper end of the rotary shaft 5 and positioning it is installed in a plate surface of the lower rail 1, while the base 4 is locked to the lower rail 1 by two long holelike mounting holes 123 and 124 being capable of positional adjustment within the fixed range in the circumferential direction with the positioned rotary shaft 5 as the center.
