Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc welding machine and a cutting machine which facilitates setting of a welding operation in a place where no commercial power source is available like a small-scale field construction work. SOLUTION: Before a welding operation, an electric power is set preliminarily for which a battery 1 can be used by an allocated power setting unit 25. At the time of a welding operation, the amount of the power inputted in a welding machine 2 is integrated by a power consumption integrating circuit and compared by the main comparator 24, with the welding suspended when the two are found equal. In addition, with the allowable current of the battery 1 set by an input current setting unit 43, the input current is controlled by an input current limiting circuit 42 so as not to exceed the allowable current.
