METHOD FOR ELIMINATING SHADE SHADOW ELEMENT ON GEOGRAPHIC IMAGE, GEOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROCESSOR AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geographic image processor which eliminates shadow elements from a geographic image including natural things, buildings, etc., and easily grasps changes among plural geographic images of the same place. SOLUTION: A geographic image processor 1 consists of an image processing part 2 and a shadow elimination processing part 3. The part 3 extracts a photographed date and time information and height information of buildings, etc., of a geographic image which is generated based on satellite image data from the satellite image data, separately calculates a sunshine direction, a sunshine angle and the width and length of a shadow from the extracted photographed data and time information and height information, also calculates an influenced area of a building, etc., about a shadow, specifies a shadow area by subtracting the calculated influenced area from a multiplication value of the width by the length of a shadow and eliminates pixels of the specified shadow area. Also, the part 2 generates differential information among plural geographic images that represent the same place from which shadows are removed and highlights the differential information on a displaying part 6.
