PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive benefit adjustment between both of the user side and the host device side when the register state to a host device comes into a stand- alone state, where the register state is released. SOLUTION: A communication type KARAOKE (orchestration without lyrics) device receives delivery of KARAOKE data on a new music by data communication with a host device in a register state (on-like state), and the KARAOKE data is accumulated in a storage device. In a stand-alone state, in which a user cancels a contract, a valid flag remains as '1' as for default music previously stored in a storage device at the time of shipping, all valid flags are rewritten to '0' as for the other music. When a request is made by a user, a state flag of the music is checked (S1-S3); in a stand-alone state (S3, Y), only default music can be played (S6; Y, S5), when a valid flag is '0' (S6; N), KARAOKE music performance cannot be performed, and that is displayed on a TV monitor (S7).
