Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mildew from occurring on an optical surface by adding a mildewproof agent to a resin layer in a resin junction optical element connected with the resin layer to an optical element base material. SOLUTION: This optical element is constituted of a resin layer containing a mildewproof agent and a base material of an optical material such as glass. A lens is used for the optical element base material, for example, and an ultraviolet hardening resin added with the mildewproof agent is connected on the lens to mold the resin layer having the desired optical surface shape. For the mildewproof agent added to the resin, α-bromocinnamaldehyde, 4-chloro-m-cresol, 4-chloro-3,5-xylenol, or 5-methyl-2-(1-methyl ethyl)-phenol is preferably used. The mildewproof agent may be added to the resin at the concentration of 0.01-5 wt.%.
