Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the spring-up of a needle reed from a retracted position by improving a reed needle furnished with a needle reed. SOLUTION: This reed needle of a textile machine for forming stitches is provided with a spring member placed in a reed slit of the needle stem. An end 10 of the reed stem 9 in the reed slit has a curved cam face 18. The distance of the cam face 18 from the gyration axis 12 of the needle reed in radial direction continuously decreases from the upper face 16 of the needle stem toward the lower face 21 of the stem.
